The past few weeks I’ve been a bit frustrated. I felt so drawn to capture views of the expansive ridges blazing with colours yet weather and life seemed to conspire against me: whenever I had time to visit the Park either the colours hadn’t arrived or the weather was awful. So this week on the morning after our election as I wandered along the Waterfall Trail I recalled how I’m being coached to ‘move in’ and ‘get up close’ with my images. Maybe then, I thought, this year I’m meant to capture close up fall colours instead of vistas.
Here are a few photos taken of the unnamed creek along this short trail. With most of the leaves having already fallen it surprised me to find so much colour either in the water or on the ground. It was a lovely experience for me to connect with the beauty on the ground.
