I’ve experienced quite a hiatus in my photo taking. Since early January to be specific. Family responsibilities together with the weird weather this winter got in the way. But today, two days after a 51 cm snowfall, I was happy to be out doors with my camera in the warm February sun, even though the temperature was -20C.
The Waterfall path near MacKenzie King’s estate always provides something unexpected for the camera to capture. Today I was treated to the lovely linear patterns of tree shadows on the hill side of the trail. My eye could see the glistening snow in the sunshine, although I don’t think the camera picked that up. On the creek side, even with the 51 cm of new fallen snow, and the -20C temperature, the creek was still open and gurgling, with its steep snowy banks highlighting its gentle meandering path. A beautiful day to be outdoors!
