I went to the Gats the other evening wanting to take photos in the warm evening light and hoping that maybe I’d be lucky to catch a colourful sunset. I had no expectations and didn’t really even know where I’d go, but on a whim chose to see how the sky was looking at Meech Lake. When I arrived the sun had gone below the ridge and the sky was colouring up. A quick park of the car and a dash to the beach rewarded me with a front row seat for the next 45 minutes as the sky provided a show of gradually intensifying colour. Its difficult to describe the experience of being there in awe of all the unfolding beauty. Its also difficult foe me to believe that my camera was able to capture these colours, with no editing adjustments needed. An amazing camera. A stunning show.
