This afternoon I walked along Ridge Road trail savouring the last of the sun’s summer rays. The autumnal equinox is tomorrow and, as with most other years, I’m caught off guard with its seemingly early arrival. It was a breathtakingly beautiful afternoon for the soul to be outdoors. With the unusual warmth for the middle of September it was difficult to think of it being the last day of summer, however subtle indicators of the season’s transition surrounded us. Here are a couple of shots of one of the typical bogs along the trail.
