A lovely slow Sunday morning stroll into Carman Lake in a light misty rain with foggy cloud cover hovering quite low over the ridges. It felt a bit ethereal and delicate. There’s not much red in the forest yet other than the soumac and some low ground cover leaves. (need to check these out). But the bull rushes are all bursting and the earlier colourful wildflowers have gone. In an open area next to the lake Carolyn brought my attention to these fine delicate grasses with glass like beads of water still present. I loved the pattern and the tenacity of the droplets on such delicate grass stems.
Nature’s Delicacy
