The other morning, I enjoyed taking photos in Meech Creek Valley playing with the contrasts between the distinct lines remaining from the harvesting of hay, and the softness of the fog suspended over the valley. I found this contrast quite stunning and breathtaking: the dark crisp green of the fields and the amorphous white fog. The trees on the escarpment in the background had turned just enough to provide a lovely backdrop to the drama in the foreground. I was thrilled to arrive in time to experience a solid wall of fog gently lift and expose the landscape.
Along with a few of these photos taken at different fog densities, I’ve included the iconic covered bridge, as I just can’t resist trying to capture it in different moods and seasons.
