The colours are disappearing from the hills almost right before our eyes leaving the bronze coloured Beech trees as the predominant colour at this moment. Amidst this more neutral background the splashes of occasional colour were absolutely stunning: the bright yellow Tamaracks and the occasional sun’s rays poking through the trees brightening up the yellow leaves. The red morning sunrise seen from the deck of my son’s cottage was an exhilarating experience breaking the long night’s darkness. It was a beautiful time of change to observe.
