Hiking along Meech Lake on December 3rd, I found myself experiencing my surroundings in a very unlikely manner for an early December day. I was mesmerized by the flowing water and could have stood there for hours losing myself in it. And then later when I was sitting on the rocky point at the foot of the small chapel of Les Capucins I felt lost in the energy of the lake. I don’t expect to sit on a shore in December eating my snack while watching waves and enjoying the swells crashing on the shore. Even the moss and pine needles on the rocks had a beauty unlikely to be experienced in the month of December.
An Unlikely Experience
