I was so frustrated with last week’s thaw ruining the lovely soft snow. So on Sunday, rather than skiing (I’m not fond of skiing on ground up ice) I spent a lovely morning hiking the Wolf Trail wearing YakTraks to manage the hard surface and took time to explore the creeks. I just so love the juxtaposition of flowing waters and ice. It was challenging however to get as close as I’d like because of not wearing snow shoes. Nonetheless, it was such a beautiful day and most of the creeks were open so I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Here are a couple of photos of snow, ice and water. So odd to be taking these photos in January as it felt more like spring conditions in March.
