We were hiking Burma Trail this morning at such a good clip we found ourselves contemplating the coming ski season. This trail provides a great workout so we began talking about how it would be perfect for dry land training this fall. Yes, the seasons are changing: it’s evident that the summer season is slipping away, fading before our eyes. The greens of the trees are softening and drying with some tips already changed colour and the end of summer wild flowers are beginning to dry and lose their vibrant colours. The bogs however (like this one) continue to be beautiful with having had so much rain this summer. I’m sure that our hike later this week or next will bring even more evidence of the transition into fall.
