It’s that time of year when a short absence changes everything. While I was away the weather here was miserable, so I’ve been told, and soon after arriving home gale type winds on Friday night brought down trees all over the place causing power outages. Again. The crews in the Gatineau Park have been busy with the clean up which was evident yesterday hiking into Keogan Lodge. The damage was not so visible along O’Brian Trail this morning. What seems to be a constant and unaltered in all of this is the water. These photos show this ongoing flow in the creek at Dunlop Picnic Field and the outflow from Meech Lake over the weir at its southern end.
