My recent outings in the Gats have been on dull days resulting in the landscape appearing quite flat. As I ski or hike along my eye pauses on what otherwise I might not notice – simple subjects – and I find myself appreciating the simplicity of winter scenes with the white background grandstanding the beauty of nature. This reminds me of the familiar quote by quantum physicist Richard Feynman – “Nature has a great simplicity and therefore a great beauty”. My tendency is to look for the complex so for the next little while I’m going to take on the practice of looking for and appreciating the simple.
Here are a few photos of ‘simple’.
