Spring’s Simple Ingredients

I was mesmerized sitting on a rock beside Luskville Falls this morning.   I felt I could have sat there all day captivated by the rushing water and embraced by the soft cold mist.  Last week the NCC posted a photo on Facebook of Luskville Falls and ever since I’ve wanted to visit the falls to experience peak spring flow.  Today I thought that after all the recent rain and the snow melt it would be peak, however it wasn’t as full as I expected, so perhaps I’d missed it.  What struck me (and captivated me) was the energy, that powerful early spring energy bursting forth in the falls, in stark contrast to the passive drab surroundings still waiting for spring’s energy to spur growth. I was touched by the beauty of spring’s simple ingredients – water, rock and bare trees.
