In my Blog last week, I shared how I felt the charm of the first emergence of the colours, while hiking the Burma Trail, subtle as they were. Yesterday morning I hiked O’Brian trail which allows for numerous views of the escarpment on the west side of Meech Lake. And stunning these views were. We’re still a while to our peak colours, but there was enough crisp reds and yellows to thrill my heart, knowing what is coming in another week or two. Seeing these colour transitions in my natural world, awakens my body’s cellular memory of fall and acts as a threshold for me to our next season.
