Peaceful

Callum and I had just finished walking the North Loop and were checking out if the Geese and goslings were hanging out.  The sun had just fallen below the escarpment and the mosquitoes were pestering both of us.  Yet it felt so peaceful.  I literally could feel my body settle and my lungs expand and take in a deeper breath.  It felt so good.  I’d come here this evening after picking up my favourite coffee beans at Bridgehead in Westboro where I’d been walking around wearing a mask and being so cautious of how close others were.  Standing here by the side of the pond I connected with the effort it takes to be so vigilant during these times and how healing it is to just let go.
