Nature’s Bouquet

Everything really was just so ordinary.  Waiting in a parking lot in Meech Creek Valley to set out on a hike. Wildflowers in the ditches and surrounding the lot.  All just so ordinary.  And yet, the sun was shining on it all at a low angle drawing my attention, and everything was covered in moisture from the overnight rains, and, even more impressive, nature had created such beauty in its simple creation of wildflower bouquets.

I steal Mary Oliver’s words, who I often quote:  “Every day / I see or hear / something / that more or less / kills me / with delight.”

What a way to start my day.
