Early November Textures

“One of the best lessons you can learn in life, is to master how to remain calm.”

Catherine Pulisfer.

I saw this quote on Facebook the other day and being in need of “remaining calm” took it to heart and went to the woods this morning with my camera.  And it worked.  After 12 km of walking, starting out at Camp Fortune, following Burma Trail and then returning by Ridge Road and trail #14, I felt one with the forest.  It was so nurturing, with blue sky and strong sun.

I loved the juxtaposition of the textures – water, ice, snow, rocks, dry grasses, bare trees and logs.  I find  November  unique with so much  visible.

Here are some photos of these textures.
