I set out for an evening stroll with Callum in the Meech Valley because I was so curious about the water level in Meech Creek at the point where the NCC had recently removed the bridge. To be honest I was hoping the water level was low enough to cross the creek and carry on the trail on the other side of the creek. This wasn’t unrealistic as all the creeks I’d seen recently were almost totally dry. But sadly, the water level was too deep for me to cross. I’d so like to hike in the area between the Carbide ruins and this point of Meech Creek. Perhaps I could cross on the log a bit downstream? It was such a peaceful time of day to be here, with the sun setting. There’s something special for me about Meech Creek Valley.
